There is no known cause for this disease.

There has been speculation on a number of causes – eg, contraceptive pill, exposure to vinyl chloride, inhalation of chemicals or pesticides, etc, but nothing has been proven.

In our support group, we have equal number of men and women, ranging in ages from teenage to eighties.
